I met a client for a session in downtown Leesburg, and decided to put Miss L in something cute, since she's rarely along for the ride when I do sessions and happened to be on this day....she was fairly cooperative considering I didn't have my usual cast of big brothers doing silly things behind me to help coax smiles and giggles out of her...


I just love where I live...I love that you can be in the country and 20 minutes later, in cute downtown Leesburg....

This is my baby girl....and she is the best baby ever.  She has slept since she was about 8 weeks old, and is just the most easy going chill kid I have ever come across.  She doesn't say much, and she thinks her big brothers hung the moon.  She also seems to be the perfect mix between my pretty serious 5 year old, and my always looking for a laugh 3 1/2 year old....

I've had my eye on these buttercup fields for a while now...they are 2 doors down from my house...

 she was charging ahead after her brothers here and looks like such a big kid to me...I'm glad to be leaving the baby phase...I think...but it's also a little sad that we don't need rear facing car seats or high chairs anymore....she's a big kid now...

This is Mr. R...he is a busy boy!  I think I lost a pound or two chasing him around trying to get him to look my way!  He loves to dance, and does it pretty well!

The kids and I came home from pre-school and running errands one day last week and it was pretty warm...I needed to water my plants, and the next thing I know, my boys are naked (the boxers only came back on after some serious threats) and yielding the water hose at each other....so I did what any logical mother whose 22 month old daughter is standing at the receiving end of a large stream of water would do....I grabbed my camera OF COURSE!  In my defense, I thought I was about to capture my 5 year old gently squirting his baby sister with the hose, which she squealed in delight...what I got instead, was this.....

 and after they all tortured each other with what I consider water that is much too cold to play in, they sat and ate popsicles!  We LIVE on these things right now....my almost 4 year old could eat 10+ per day....I don't let  him, but he wants them all.day.long!

I am learning to appreciate more and more the pictures of our lives just happening...not where I have 3 kids smiling and looking at me all angelic, and let's face it, completely out of character for them...this, THIS is us!

I first met this sweet family when Evan was born...I actually did his newborn pictures when I was 36 weeks pregnant with my youngest child...Evan is now 22 months old, and is a big brother!  His baby brother slept, and slept and slept!

Sweet baby L...

This baby girl slept like a dream...I was a little worried because she was about a month old when I got to meet her, and usually, if I want a baby to really sleep, we do the session between 7-14 days, but I'm a sucker for some newborn snuggles, and Ms. L slept perfectly well for me!
